Why We Exist

Life can feel heavy sometimes. Many people carry hard things quietly. We believe no one should struggle alone.

Keep Going Project is an initiative of the Dare Greatly Foundation.

It was created to offer encouragement, connection, and simple next steps for people going through hard moments. Through kind messages, shared support, and reminders that no one has to carry life’s heaviness alone, Keep Going Project helps people feel seen, valued, and less alone.

While Tanner Romanos’ death was not by suicide, his life deeply reflects the heart behind this project. Tanner had a rare gift for noticing people. He welcomed others in, made them feel valued, and left a lasting impact on people from all walks of life. He loved people for who they were and had a way of reminding them that their presence mattered.

Keep Going Project carries that spirit forward. It exists to remind people that they are not invisible, their story matters, and even in difficult moments, there is hope and support worth reaching for.

Keep Going Project is not therapy, medical care, or crisis support. It is a place for encouragement, kindness, and human connection. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger or needs urgent support, call 911 or contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988 in the United States.

After losing Tanner, I found myself visiting many grief groups and support spaces. In those rooms, I met people carrying the unimaginable pain of losing someone they loved. Some had lost someone to suicide, others to substance use, and what I kept noticing was how often their grief was tangled with guilt, unanswered questions, and the painful belief that they should have somehow known or done more.

Listening to those stories opened my heart to a different kind of pain. That stayed with me.

Keep Going Project was created from that place of compassion. My hope is that this initiative can offer encouragement before someone feels completely unseen, so they know that they matter.

In Tanner’s honor, this project exists to remind people that their story matters, their life has value, and they are not alone. Tanner truly had a gift for making others see that in themselves.

If Keep Going Project helps someone feel seen in a hard moment, stay connected to hope, or remember that their life matters, then this project has done exactly what it was created to do. And I believe Tanner would be proud to know that something created in his honor is helping carry hope to someone who needs it.
